No. You can cancel your subscription free of charge. Refill orders are processed on the day of the month that you began your subscription. To cancel your subscription, log into your account on our website and select the subscription you’d like to update. You’ll find the option to “Cancel Subscription” on your account page. No, of course not! We get that subscriptions aren’t for everyone. That’s why we offer a buy now, one time purchase option on every product. The benefit of a subscription is maximum convenience for every refill shipment you need. And you never need to remember to re-order!

You certainly can pause your subscription for our refills. To do so, sign into your account on our website and select the subscription you want to adjust and choose ‘Pause’ to put your subscription on hold. You will not be charged for any subscription refills while your subscription is on hold.

No, we do not make any disinfectant or antibacterial claims. We do not formulate with the biocides that are often included in antibacterial products because biocides do not meet our standards for health and safety. We strive to make our products optimal for effectiveness as well as human and environmental health.

Our surface cleaners such as our kitchen cleaner aerkoi are formulated to fight grease and grime in order to help keep your surfaces clean. Also, our bathroom cleaner aerlaa does help remove stains from mold and inanimate scum such as soap scum. As you’ll read in our customer reviews, people do seem to find our cleaners very effective!

Moreover, as part of our personal and body care family our hand soap aersoa does help wash away viruses and bacteria. We do include surfactants that reduce surface tension to effectively lift up bacteria and viruses from skin to easily wash them away. In fact, more and more scientific evidence in the midst of this pandemic has been published around the superiority of hand soap vs. hand sanitizers in fighting viruses. You can technically use a different bottle with a different sachet but the labels printed on our bottles are permanent so we suggest stronlgy to use the suitable sachet for each bottle. Our glass & mirror cleaning solution is grey blue, our bathroom cleaning solution is rose and our kitchen cleaning solution is red. Separately, our foaming hand soap solution is blue.

As our main claims states: we are reinventing the bare essentials. This means that we develop our powder formulations with only those ingredients that our customers truly need. Anything else that is shipped unnecessarily such as tons of single-use packaging or water, we leave out.

The truth is that tablets (more specifically effervescent tablets), which an increasing number of start ups in the field of home care use, come with multiple ingredients such as sodium carbonate that add zero value to the consumer experience. These components have the single purpose to make the tablet a tablet and have it dissolve properly in liquids. However, there is absolutelty no functional purpose that comes with such ingredients. Consumer still end up paying for it.

We continue fighting eyewashing, of which tablet formulations are part of.

We don’t want you to pay to ship water around the world and we do want to minimize our carbon footprint. You can add your own water when you receive your bottle or at your own convenience.

Making your mix-it-yourself aer products we ship to you is as easy as 1-2-3.

1. Fill your bottle or soap dispenser with warm water
2. Pour in the powder
3. Close the bottle or soap dispenser, shake and off you go!

The dissolved solution in our bottles should last you a similar length of time as in a traditional bottle for all of our products. Of course how long each dissolved powder lasts depends on how often you use the product, often dependent on the size of your home and family. If you need more help on identifying which products you should purchase, please provide more information and we’ll do our very best to assist you!

Using warm water will best minimize how long you need to wait to have your final products. Using cold or hot water is also okay, but we would recommend warm water since in our long lists of tests and studies, it has shown to lead to the best results in terms of product quality.

We recommend that you finish using the cleaning liquid in your bottle and rinsing it with clean water before creating another bottle of solution with a new powder load. Each refill pack is designed to be dissolved with water to create 500ml of cleaner or 380ml of foaming hand soap and match the exact amount of solution our bottle is designed to hold.

Although it is not necessary, we recommend that you briefly shake the bottle after
closing it properly. This ensures that the powder content is distributed equally
while speeding up the process a bit. However, it is no necessity at all. Our
products will perform just as well without shaking the closed bottle.

Our bottles are meant to be used and refilled forever so you never have to throw them away. Unlike many conventional disposable cleaning or soap bottles, there is no risk of leaching with continued re-use for our bottles. You can refill your bottle again and again without stretching, tearing, or breaking.

For our surface cleaners, one sachet contains 4g of surface cleaning powder
which then makes 500ml of liquid surface cleaner. One foaming hand soap
sachet contains 8g of soap powder which then makes 380ml of foaming hand
soap.

For our cleaners and soap we recommend you use our bottles as they have been specifically designed for our fomulations and lead to the best product experience. Our cleaning bottles are shatterproof, 100% recyclable PETG, specifically designed for re-use and will not leach over time.

Our soap dispenser is made of glass and contains a special, high-quality foam pump. Importantly, our soap powder has been designed to be used with our foamp pump and is not suitable to be used with regular soap dispensers, as the technology applied differs significantly.

Each sachet is the made to be the perfect amount for your aer bottle. Each of our sachets for our surface cleaners contains 4g of powder and makes 500ml of liquid spray cleaner. Each of our foaming hand soap sachets contains 8g of powder and makes 380ml of foaming hand soap.

Our shipping materials, and our bottles (which aren’t intended for you to recycle after single-use) – are recyclable, while our paper sachets used for our refills are 100% biodegradable and compostable. Should anything happen to one of our bottles due to unforeseen circumstances and you’re unable to recycle it properly, we are happy to take it back free of charge and responsibly recycle it on your behalf.

All of our packaging is recyclable and our paper sachets are 100% compostable and biodegradable. Our boxes and packaging can be recycled in the regular paper bin, the same is true for our paper sachets which provide shelter for our powders.

Should our bottles, soap dispenser and containers have reached the end of their lifecycle, we suggest the following recycling routes:

Our surface cleaner bottles can be recycled in the dedicated light packaging waste.
Our soap dispenser bottle can be best recycled in the glass waste.
Our soap foam pump can be best recycled in the metal packaging waste.

You can compost the paper sachets for our powder refills but you will need to recycle the shipping envelopes and boxes that contained your products in the paper waste.

The powder packaging is designed to protect against water but is not meant to drown in it, so please keep it in a dry, safe place for storage. In order for our materials to be compostable, we could not use any plastic, hence, our packaging is not suitable to be actually covered by water.

Additionally, any moisture can affect the overall efficacy and shelf-life of the refill powders. That being said, we’d be happy to send you replacement refills for the inconvenience. Just contact us using the contact form provided on or website our shoot us a message to help@theaer.com.

We suggest storing our paper sachet refills in a cool and dry place – the drier, the better. We don’t suggest storing it anywhere where it may be exposed to water, more than average humidity or get wet, as it may affect the efficacy and shelf-life of the powders and make them sticky.
